Welcome to the second weekend of the 28 Day Network Challenge! I am amazed by the all people that have joined in and all the stories that you have shared so far!!!
My Networking Accomplishments
So without further ado, here are some of the highlights from the second week of the Network Challenge. (1) I met with two friends to go over their finances and walked through a comprehensive plan to get back on track. (2) I called two friends this week that I hadn’t spoken with in awhile, and one even offered to do a guest interview. I don’t want to reveal too much, but I think you will really enjoy this interview. (3) Finally, I connected two people at work that I think have a lot of synergies and can do some really big things together. I believe I am all caught up on emails, so keep me them coming 🙂
So readers, how was your second week of the Network Challenge? Have you had any great successes or failures? Any goals over the next week? Share your thoughts below.
This week is a bit better for me as I have more time to do blog related work. I started to comment on about 10 other blogs. I will try to do more next week and raise that number to 15. In addition. I also share more of my posts to blogging groups on facebook and I am getting some decent traffics.

Sounds like an awesome week for you Leo!!! Sounds like you are really hustling and it’s translating into more hits 🙂
Hey MSM, I’m going to reach out to a friend from high school today, as well as the real estate agent who helped me with buying my current house.
The network challenge is good as it helps build your work and social circle. Keep it up! 🙂

Thanks for sharing Erik!!! I’m glad to hear that the networking challenge is helping you expand your network. Can’t wait to hear how it went 🙂
That is great that it is going well! As a strong introvert, I never liked the sound of networking. Then I realized it’s just building relationships, which I do love. It’s been great to get to know people in the blogging community. With Skype, cell phones, text messages, emails, it’s easy to stay connected.

Thanks for sharing Ms. Montana!!! As an introvert I too have a difficult time always connecting. I think for next week I might have a massive update. But just typing it makes my hands sweat 🙂
I’m still largely acting as the introducer. I introduced four more folks to my group last week that will be integral in their projects. Ultimately it benefits me as well by renewing those relationships I may have stepped away from.

I really like that you met up with friends to go over finances! That’s usually such a hush-hush subject between even the closest of friends (even though it’s a silly taboo). Go you!

Thanks for stopping Mrs. Picky Pincher!!! I have to say that I love being able to share my passion with finance with others. Hopefully I’ll continue to have the opportunity in the future 🙂
I always try to talk to my friends about finances, last year I got two of them to get a Vanguard T-IRA for the first time ever, another one into Dividend Growth Investing. Its really contagious and one of them helped someone else get their vanguard account going, I think thats what this is all about, networking + helping others get there also. Whats the point of you being FI and no one to go fishing with you?

You are absolutely right!!! What is the point of holding in all that FI knowledge and be bored in retirement with no one to hang out with 🙂 Love the analogy!!!
I reconnected with a family member of mine this week. No specifics to report, though I will share it was a good conversation!

That’s awesome to hear that you were able to connect!!!
My wife & I have been planning out how we are going to increase our real jobs income in the fall. It may seem like a long time away, but, we both teach and everybody starts thinking about August in January already. We are trying to connect with some old friends and work acquaintances to see if they have any leads.

Sounds like you are definitely thinking ahead Josh!!! Good luck with your leads 🙂
Unfortunately, I didn’t really reach out or network with anyone last week, hopefully this week will be better as I’ll be visiting some old friends and catching up with them this weekend.

No problem!!! Sounds like you’ll be making up for it this weekend 🙂 You’ll have to let me know how it goes.
“I called two friends this week that I hadn’t spoken with in awhile”
I’m trying to put together a list of friends to call on a rotating basis too. It’s funny sometimes when you call people always assume it’s something important to talk about. But when you say you just want to catch up and see how things are, they are caught off-guard, lol!
