Money Saving Websites
Cardpool is a website where you can buy and sell used gift cards. The best part in my opinion is you can get rid of old gift cards to stores that you do not frequent and receive up to 92% cash for them. Additionally, you can save anywhere between 2-20% off the face-value of a gift card by purchasing a used, discounted gift card listed on the site. They also guarantee the value of the card or your money back. Well worth it in my opinion!
Ebates provides an easy way for receive cash back by a simple click before making any online purchase. They are connected to many stores, so it is well worth your time to check the site before making any purchases. Plus, they even have in-store cash back these days! Ebates makes a commission by referring you to the store you just shopped at, and they give you a portion of that money back as a thank you. They send a “Big Fat Check” out to you quarterly with all of the accumulated cash back. Can’t go wrong with this one!
Sign up for Swagbucks where you can earn free gift cards online for using it as your search engine. Some other ways to also accumulate points on Swagbucks are by taking surveys, shopping online, and trying promotions.
Tripadvisor is by far my favorite travel website. This site serves as a one stop shop as you can find the best deals on the internet and book your next dream vacation. I also love that you can read countless reviews to really get a feel for a hotel or even specific restaurants in a destination city. It is definitely a useful resource.
If you decide against investing on your own and you do not want to hire a portfolio manager, check out Wealthfront. It’s is a great way to help you invest your money in low-cost ETFs and is very user-friendly.
I love Personal Capital. It is a great resource that I highly recommend. They provide free financial software somewhat similar to Mint.com. Personal Capital is much more detailed than Mint though. You can track your net worth, your cash flow, your portfolio, your investments, and more. If you aren’t convinced that you should use Personal Capital, read my Personal Capital Review.
Motif Investing provides an investing platform to make investing very affordable. You can buy a portfolio of up to 30 stocks, bonds or ETFs for just $9.95 total commission. Plus, you will receive up to $150 when you use Motif Investing if you sign up under my link.
Lending Club allows investors, like you, to invest in loans for borrowers. Investors can select which loans and can earn monthly returns from the borrowers’ payments. As an investor, you could earn returns between 5.00-8.67%, and potentially much, much more depending on the “risk” of the loan. Lending Club is fairly straightforward and can provide monthly cash flow for an investor.
Have student loans? SoFi can help by finding the best interest rates available in order to refinance your student loans. We’re all about being debt-free over here, so on to financial independence! The best part is, SoFi is free. You also get a $100 bonus when you sign up with SoFi through the referral program.
TurboTax is the #1 best-selling tax software. TurboTax allows you to file your Federal and State individual income tax returns and even that of your small business. It is known for its user-friendly interface. I use it each year to file my taxes.
USAA offers great, interactive tools that can help you reach your financial goals. It is best used by those who prefer to select and manage their own insurance policies. USAA also has great budgeting programs to help you know exactly where your money is spent into easily visualized pie charts.
I just started using Tailwind and highly recommend it. It allows you to schedule your Pinterest pins and view the analytics that correspond so that you can understand how your pins are affecting blog viewership. I like Tailwind because it helps me navigate Pinterest with minimal effort and time.
